This is an accessibility statement from CoreStream GRC.

Measures to Support Accessibility

CoreStream GRC takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of the CoreStream GRC Platform:

  • Include accessibility as part of our mission statement.
  • Assign clear accessibility goals and responsibilities.
  • Employ formal accessibility quality assurance methods.
  • Schedule regular professional audits to measure and monitor accessibility.

Conformance Status

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. CoreStream GRC Platform is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully meet the accessibility standard.

Limitations and Alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility, some limitations may exist, particularly in less commonly used features. Below is a description of known limitations and potential solutions. Please contact us if you encounter an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for CoreStream GRC Platform:

  • Policy Manager Dashboard Buttons: Some buttons lack appropriate labels, making them unclear to screen readers. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1 (Non-text Content). We are working on adding missing labels in a future release.
  • Form Input Fields: Some form input fields are missing associated text labels or descriptive titles, making them inaccessible to screen readers. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.1.1. We are actively adding missing labels.
  • Lists: Some lists are not marked up correctly, which may result in incorrect announcements by screen readers. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1 (Info and Relationships). We are addressing this in a future release.
  • Tables: Some tables lack proper markup, causing screen readers to announce them incorrectly. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.1. We are collaborating with third-party software providers to resolve this.
  • Mobile Devices: Charts may only be viewable in portrait orientation, with errors displayed in landscape mode. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.3.4 (Orientation). We are working to improve chart display functionality.
  • Text Contrast: Some text does not meet minimum contrast requirements against the background. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast (Minimum)). We are enhancing contrast in a future release.
  • Text Zoom: Some content cannot be zoomed to 200% without loss of functionality. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.10 (Reflow). We are improving zoom functionality in an upcoming release.
  • Keyboard Navigation: Some content, including edit buttons and browse options, is inaccessible via keyboard navigation. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.1.1 (Keyboard). We are actively enhancing keyboard navigation.
  • Keyboard Traps: When zooming on graphs, users may become trapped within the last table cell. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.1.2 (No Keyboard Trap). We are working on resolving this issue.
  • Multi-select Fields: Some dropdown fields have mismatched accessible labels, causing issues for speech recognition users. This fails WCAG 2.1 success criterion 2.5.3 (Label in Name). We are adding additional text to improve accessibility.
  • Dragging Movements: Dragging functionality is required for Process Mapping, which may not be fully accessible with alternative inputs. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.5.7 (Dragging Movements). Please contact us for assistance.
  • Screen Reader Compatibility: Some content may not be announced correctly by Dragon NaturallySpeaking or NVDA. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.2 (Name, Role, Value). We are working with third-party vendors to resolve this.
  • Confirmation Messages: Screen readers may not announce form submission or bulk update confirmation messages. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 4.1.3 (Status Messages). We are resolving this in release 2.7.
  • Focus Order: On the Forms page, newly added items are not correctly focused. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 2.4.3 (Focus Order). We are adding proper focus navigation in a future release.
  • Zoom Issues: Some content is inaccessible at 400% zoom in a 1280-pixel-wide window. This fails WCAG 2.2 success criterion 1.4.10 (Reflow). We are addressing this in a future update.

What We’re Doing to Improve Accessibility

We are committed to enhancing the accessibility of the CoreStream GRC Platform as part of our bi-monthly release schedule. During each release cycle, we focus on resolving specific accessibility issues, such as form fields, buttons, and keyboard navigation.
Following each major release, we will conduct an external audit to validate accessibility improvements.

Assessment Approach

CoreStream GRC assesses the accessibility of its platform using the following methods:

  • External Evaluation: A formal accessibility audit was conducted by Zoonou, using WCAG-EM to define the test scope and approach.
