The story behind CoreStream GRC

The challenge

The story begins with us, 2 brothers who had spent years working at one of the Big 4 consulting firms.

We’d seen it all, the tools on the market and the frustration on users’ faces. The tech was poor, and the service was worse.

Slick salespeople were pitching technology they didn’t even understand, making empty promises on golf courses to senior execs who’d never have to use the system.

The result? A nightmare. GRC platform providers couldn’t deliver on their promises. Development and implementation dragged endlessly.

By the time GRC teams finally got access, they were handed a clunky, outdated system that looked like it belonged in the 1970s. It was rigid, unintuitive, and impossible to upgrade. Worse still, it couldn’t stretch to meet the unique needs of GRC teams or scale across the rest of the organization.

Employees started ditching it, moving back to good old-fashioned spreadsheets. The very tools designed to manage risk were creating more problems than they solved.

The solution

We’d seen enough. We’d been brought in far too many times to clean up these messes. It became clear what was missing: simplicity, scalability, and a willingness to truly listen to what users needed.

We knew there had to be a better way.

So, we hired some smart people, and we built it.

We realized we could do things faster and better on our low-code platform. That realization led to a revolution.
