With less than a month to go until the 2025 Women in GRC Awards, anticipation is high here at CoreStream GRC. As proud sponsors and shortlisted for 5 awards, we’re thrilled to be part of this empowering celebration of the women leading the way in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC).

Recently, our Head of Marketing, Lucy Montague, sat down with Rachel Jones from Women in GRC to talk about why this partnership matters so much to us.

It all began at #Risk London 2024, when Lucy attended a powerful panel featuring last year’s award winners, including Sophie Walsh, Lauren de Thibault, Rajitha Prabhakaran and Kathryn Hollingworth. Topics included imposter syndrome, mentorship and L&D.  She described the panel as “essentially a call to action” that inspired us to take a more active role in supporting women in GRC.

“They were talking about being an advocate for change and speaking up,” Lucy explained. “It was essentially a call to action for me to find you and say, ‘Right, we want to do more.’”

Taking action, together

Lucy highlighted how seamlessly this vision was embraced by the CoreStream GRC exec team:

“Everyone was on board straightaway. There was no need to convince—it just made sense.”

As we continue our strategic partnership with Women in GRC, we’re inspired by the conversations it sparks,  not just about awards, but also about how to empower women in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) every day.

For example, we marked International Women’s Day with a special luncheon and an informal social event, creating spaces for open conversation and celebration.

At CoreStream GRC, we also know that flexibility is a key part of creating an inclusive workplace. Lucy shared how our culture supports balance:

“Flexible working isn’t just a policy here, it’s part of how we operate. It’s about giving people the space to thrive, whether that’s working from home or adjusting hours around family life. That’s a big part of why women, and everyone, really can see a future for themselves here.”

A fifth of women say that flexible working is helping them stay in their jobs according to the World Economic Forum.

A night to remember: the awards ceremony

With the awards ceremony fast approaching, we’re counting down the days until our table of 12, including our shortlisted colleagues, partners, and clients, comes together to celebrate. For us, it’s not just about the night itself:

“It’s about taking that energy and excitement and bringing it into our day-to-day work, so women feel supported and recognized every day, not just once a year.”
